Mr. White has worked in Prosthetics and Orthotics for 30 years. He came into the field as an apprentice in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a major in Biology. He began his training and worked as a technician learning the field from the ground up. He received his Certificate in Prosthetics in 1982 from New York University Medical School and became a Certified Prosthetist in 1983. He has now managed patient care facilities for over 25 years. He has a great deal of enthusiasm for the field and genuine concern for each patient. He takes his responsibilities as a practitioner and as a leader for O&amp;amp;amp;amp;P interests and education in North Carolina seriously.
Mr. White is currently President of the North Carolina Orthotics and Prosthetics Trade Association (NCOPTA) for a second time. He has served continuously since their inception as a member of their Board of Directors. He is a consultant to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP) and an active member and Past President of the North Carolina Chapter of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (NCAAOP). He has served as a Medicare consultant and as a member of the NCAAOP Committee for Government Relations. His dedication to service and commitment to the individual needs of Beacon’s patients is his driving force. He works diligently to insure that Beacon lives up to its motto of Quality, Caring Service.

Faith Ballard, CO, CPed, CMF
Ms. Ballard is a Certified Orthotist and Certified Pedorthist. She is certified by the American Board for Prosthetics, Orthotics Pedorthist Certification, which has the highest standards for professional certification in America. She has served as a Board Member for the Pedorthic Footcare Association for six years. Ms. Ballard became interested in the field while working for an O&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;P company as a secretary in 1992. She says that she realized how much the practitioners helped their patients early on while working as a secretary and she knew that she wanted to pursue her certification. She has been a Certified Pedorthist for over 17 years and an Orthotist for 8. Ms. Ballard’s experience comes from working in an O&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;P practice and a podiatry practice, as well as working in retail in a comfort shoe store fitting diabetics with proper footwear. She most recently has completed a course as a Mastectomy Fitter and is looking forward to helping her patients through what can be a difficult process for them. She is very passionate about her profession and about providing quality care to her patients. She does so with great compassion and professionalism. Beacon Prosthetics and Orthotics is very pleased and proud to have her as a member of our professional staff. Ms. Ballard enjoys spending her free time with her family and loves being an aunt to her 10 nieces and nephews. She also enjoys hanging out with her friends having fun and traveling.
